The newly established Department of Human Cell Biology and Genetics at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) School of Medicine was established in July 2020. It aims to nurture future scientists, foster innovative research, and serve society.

Positions at all ranks are available immediately: The department invites applications for full-time tenure-track or tenured faculty positions at the assistant professor, associate professor, and professor in cell biology or genetics.

Qualifications: Applicants for tenure-track positions should have a doctoral degree and postdoctoral training in biomedical sciences. They should have also demonstrated outstanding potential in innovative research and quality teaching. Applicants for tenured Professors or Associate Professor positions should have a track record of independent research, extramural funding, classroom teaching, and excellent publication record. Chair professorship is available for exceptional candidates.

Salary and Fringe Benefits: Starting salary is around US$100,000 annually and will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments. Standard employee benefits will be provided.
